Barbara Radican
Barbara Radican was born and raised in New York City and, not unlike so many other native New Yorkers, moved to eastern Long Island while still in her youth.
Managing successfully to navigate through the 1960's and her high school days. Barbara then found herself in collage while holding down a well paying job in the office of an aerospace corporaton, as well as working in sales for a large clothing retailer. Push then came to shove and she decided to join her family in an established Hair Salon in the city. Barbara quickly learned the industry from the bottom on up, became a highly sought out stylist and colorist and in a few years established a high-end salon of her own, Barbara Roberts Hair Studio, Inc. She remained successful being in that industry for 30+ years - styling, educating and managing owning her own business.
In 2003, Barbara's husband David, asked her to consider a career move. In 2006 Barbara had made the decision to sell her business. Barbara is now listing, selling and buying properties, and is assisting in the expediting of permitting services offered through Points East Real Property Services, Inc. with her husband David.
Outside of her business interests, Barbara loves life and spending time with family and friends. She still freelances in cosmetology and loves the fashion industry. The beach, boating, fishing, theater and exotic vacations will always be at the top of her to-do list.
David Lee Radican
POINTS EAST is owned and operated by David Lee Radican. Born in South Bend, Indiana (home of Notre Dame, and yes, a “Hoosier”), he graduated from Indiana State University in 1972 with a degree in Speech and Language Pathology. Soon after graduation, David took a position with a large LI school district and established a Speech and Language Therapy program.
Moving from Indiana to New York was at first a “culture shock,” but David soon fell in love with the beauty and vitality of Eastern Long Island. Having summers free, he found opportunities to do home improvement projects for friends and co-workers as well as work toward earning his Real Estate brokerage license. David soon found that his talents as a Builder and R.E. Broker proved more fruitful and gave greater enjoyment than his chosen profession. And in 1977 he incorporated POINTS EAST Real Estate and Construction. He has been building homes and brokering properties ever since.
David is a seasoned professional with over 30 years of experience. He is intimately familiar with building and zoning codes, and land use issues; as well as being an accredited home inspector. As a Professional Builder and Broker, David has always tried to keep it simple by choosing and maintaining a more intimate and accountable hands on approach to his business. He believes personal contact and a more direct approach is something his clients have come to expect and enjoy.
